Grass fire near Berrima brought under control
The Rural Fire Service has brought a grass fire on the eastern side of the Hume Highway near Berrima under control.

The fire was reported just after 1pm on Sunday near Medway Road in the Wingecarribee local government area.
It was burning on the opposite side of the Hume Highway to the giant Green Wattle Creek fire, which has consumed an area of more than 226,000 hectares and claimed property and homes in the Wollondilly local government area.
