The event is being held again after 3800 people attended in 2017 and 4500 in 2018.
Organiser Suzanne Montague is expecting up to 6000 people this weekend.
"One of the attractions this year will be a chainsaw carver from New Zealand," she said.
"The festival will also include some of the world's best spoon carvers, knife makers, traditional tool makers, timber surfboard makers and wood-turners."
