Contesting the 10-12 year old National School Sport Championships in Darwin, were three AW members.
Charlize Colwell returned with a gold medal, part of the NSW 4x100m relay for Multi Class athletes.
She also contested the 800m (6th - 3'27.88s), Long Jump (5th - 2.45m), Discus (7th - 11.55m) and Shot Put (7th - 4.86m).
Participating in the 12yo throwing events were William Willis (Discus: 8th - 39.00m) and Chelsy Wayne (10th - 28.26m).
Being held in Darwin - and temperatures being foremost in mind - the National Championships were brought forward in the year and actually held ahead of the State titles.
Working their way to qualify for those titles were AW members at the Catholic Schools' Mackillop team selection trials.
Holly Rea won both the 12 Girls 100m and 200m in 13.55s and 28.93s respectively.
Savannah Dzajkoski also qualified in the 100m, finishing in 3rd position with 13.77s.
Their secondary school counterparts contested the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Championships, with AW members bringing home a combined 7 Gold medals, 7 Silver and 3 Bronze.
The lion's share of these were from Delta Amidzovksi, taking out the 13 Girls 100m (12.49s), 200m (25.36s), 80m Hurdles (12.05s), High Jump (1.70m) and Long Jump (5.60m); the latter three setting new Championship records.
Marcus Liackman won gold in the 12 Boys Discus (34.37m) as did Tayissa Buchanan in the 13 Girls 800m (2'20.15s).
Tayissa also came second in the 400m (1'00.61s), a silver-winning effort matched by Tierney Dunne (17+ Girls 100m - 12.45s; 200m - 25.38s), Hannah Crinnion (17+ Girls 400m 1'00.57s), Janna Hadaya (17+ Girls 100m Hurdles - 17.00s), Paris Bamford (15 Girls 400m - 1'00.65s) and Hamilton Tenkate (14 Boys Javelin - 37.53m).
Rounding out our medallists with bronze were: Hannah Crinnion (17+ Girls 200m - 25.77s; Long Jump - 4.78m) and Emer Spiers (16 Girls 100m - 12.90s).
The NSW All Schools Championships give the opportunity for athletes from each of the secondary school systems to compete head-to-head.
Over 1800 participants met at Sydney Olympic Park with 31 AW members taking on the challenge.
While all are worthy of congratulations, space dictates concentrating on our medallists.
Delta Amidzovski replicated her CCC performance with another 4 gold medals and Championship records across three events - with a bronze thrown in for good measure!
She was 1st - 13 Girls 80m Hurdles (11.67sR), High Jump (1.74mR), Long Jump (5.63mR), 14 Girls 200m Hurdles (28.12s) and 3rd 13 Girls 100m (12.50s).
Gold in the 17 Girls went to Rosie Tozer in the High Jump (1.78m) and Tierney Dunne in the 100m (12.35s).
New members Thomas Noakes (16 Boys Pole Vault - 3.20m) and Zoe Daniels (14 Girls Discus - 40.71m) marked their debuts with victory.
In the 16-19 Girls Para events, Karlee Symonds won the 100m (15.71s), with Rosie Boyland finishing 2nd and 3rd in the Discus (28.52m) and Shot Put (9.62m) respectively.
Other minor medals went to:
Eleanor Tozer (3rd 15 Girls 100m - 12.75s), Gabriel Bickel (3rd 17 Boys 100m - 11.31s), Lara Check (3rd 16 Girls HJ - 1.65m, LJ - 5.50m and TJ - 10.98m), Tayissa Buchanan (2nd 13 Girls 800m - 2'18.61s), Teagan Berry (2nd 17 Girls 200m - 24.48s and 3rd 100m - 12.50s), Thomas Noakes (2nd 16 Boys Hammer - 30.18m) and Tierney Dunne (3rd 17 Girls 200m - 24.61s).
