Last week Athletics NSW ran a series of cross-country runs at Upjohn Park, Rydalmere. Two of our just out of teens athletes, The Powering Perrys, tried their luck and did quite well. Young Ros Perry contested the women's 65-69 4km event coming second in 25 minutes and the ever resilient Ron Perry recently elevated to the men's 80-89 class ran the 4km to gain third place in 27minutes 42 seconds.
Just a second reminder to those wishing to join a Little Athletics NSW club. Go to the LANSW website https://lansw.com.au/ and hit the register link on that page. If the athlete is in the 12-17 age category, they register also with a Athletics NSW club as a dual athlete. Athletics Wollongong can fit the bill easily. If you have any concerns regarding dual registration contact us on our website www.athleticswollongong.org.au or go to our Athletics Wollongong Facebook page.
