The Cavalry surged ahead after a 10-run second inning that featured two grand slams and the result was never in doubt beyond that point.
Boss Moanaroa was the star for the Cavalry registering three hits, including two home runs, and six RBIs. Defensively, pitcher Frank Gailey recorded the win with seven exceptional innings. Gailey struck out nine Blue Sox batsmen while allowing just four hits and one run.
The Blue Sox were eventually able to make a dent on the scoreboard after Gailey had come out of the game, scoring six runs in the final two innings, but it was a case of too little too late.
