Kiama Municipal Council has been working with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and Laverty Pathology following a directive from the NSW Government, to establish a COVID-19 testing facility in the townb.
The drive-through testing facility is located at the Kiama Netball facility carpark.
Entry will be off Terralong St just prior to the Kiama Ambulance Station.
A spokesperson said the primary concern is for the safety of our residents and visitors and the council was happy to support such a preventative action.
The new clinic means tKiama residents won't have travel any further than necessary to have a test done.
People are encouraged to be tested even with the mildest of symptoms, or if they have been to any of the areas where confirmed cases have been identified.
The Kiama Leisure Centre will remain fully operational during the clinic operation period.
Patrons will be able to access as per usual via the Havillah St roundabout and the full carpark will be available.
