Eleanor was nominated by her mother, Gillian Drury, who described her "as a very driven, inspirational and community focused young woman".
In 2018 she completed Year 12 as school captain of Ulladulla High School; was a very active member of the Student Representative Council in years 7-12 organising fund-raising events together; running assemblies such as Anzac and NAIDOC, and organising leadership camps.
From 2013 to the present, she has volunteered as a referee for school rugby league and touch football carnivals.
Community involvement is a huge part of Eleanor's extracurricular activities including events such as the Milton Show, Relay for Life and Bingo for Boobs. She also has her Bronze Medallion and is a member of Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club.
Eleanor is currently in her first year of university studying a double degree in Law and Psychological Science.
Eleanor has been refereeing rugby league for six years, refereeing both junior and senior levels in a paid position.
However she also volunteers in areas surrounding the game including assisting with training, coaching, running courses, seminars and conducting presentations.
She is a Coaching Match Official, volunteering to coach other referees moving up the ranks. Eleanor is a CRL representative referee and travels all over the state to officiate games.
In 2017 Eleanor completed the Kokoda Track and is a Kokoda Youth Leadership Ambassador for Adventure Kokoda, working with RSL and Services Clubs NSW. She recently participated in the 'Respect The Day' video and was the recipient of the Clubs NSW 2018 Spirit of the Kokoda Award.
In 2016-2017 she had the privilege of leading the Milton Anzac Day parade, carrying the Australian flag whilst wearing her great grandfather's medals and representing her school.
Eleanor has been running a movement called The Everyone's Perfect Movement (EP) for almost three years. Self-love is the beginning of happiness within you and the people around you. EP targets body image, kindness, self-love, positivity, perception and gratitude.
Eleanor is changing the way people perceive themselves, resetting people's internal voices into one of positivity. She has found that once people see themselves in a positive way, they spread that positivity to others.
This movement has no age barrier and targets all genders, making people think twice about the words and actions they not only say and do to others but also themselves.
Eleanor does lots of work with primary and high schools and now through her university. She also runs social media pages: Instagram: @everyones_perfect Facebook: @everyonesperfectmovement Snapchat: ep_movement
Combining her life experiences and her refereeing, Kokoda Challenge and Movement, Eleanor delivers inspirational presentations, conducts public and motivational speaking and targets them to her audience/s.
She has displayed these skills to many including local schools, business events, women in business, Ex-servos Club, War Widows, CWA, Lions, Rotary, View, Returned Services, Magic Moments Foundation Youth Leadership Summit 2018, South Coast Youth Leadership Program, Youth Parliament, Country Rugby League Referees Seminars just to name a few!
"This is just a brief introduction to this wonderful young woman who is definitely living by the moto 'Service Above Self '," mum Gillian said.
