Flooding closes road at Audley Weir in Royal National Park

Flooding has closed the road in both directions at Audley Weir in the Royal National Park on Thursday morning.

Live Traffic NSW advises motorists to avoid the area and expect delays.

The forecast for Thursday is for more showers and the chance of a thunderstorm during the morning.

Rainfall in the last 24 hours saw Brogers Creek near Foxground recording the highest total in the Illawarra with 79mm followed by Darkes Forest and Wattamolla each recording 71mm. Brogers Creek has had more than 160mm in the last two days.
