Ms Bourke, of Berry, is one of 14 legal professionals from across the state who have made the finals in the Rising Star of the Year category.
The annual awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of outstanding female lawyers, mentors and firms that have achieved excellence in their area of practice and helped create opportunities for women in law.
Ms Bourke said after growing up in Berry, attending high school at St John's in Nowra and studying law at University of Wollongong she was fortunate to receive great support from her fellow mentors and team members since she joined RMB Lawyers in 2015.
"Ever since my first role in a law firm, I've been surrounded by talented, influential women and men whom I admire for their hard work and dedication, and for helping to shape me into the lawyer I am today," she said.
"It's because of these valuable interactions and experiences that I've been able to confidently grow my expertise and dedication to advocating for clients through legal counsel in a complex area of the law. I feel honoured to have been named a finalist among other phenomenal women in law".
RMB Lawyers managing partner Craig Osborne said it was important for the legal industry to support young lawyers and foster their development.
"Claire is outstanding both as a lawyer and a person, and we sincerely congratulate her on this achievement. She has an impressive combination of skills, a strong work ethic and is an example of what can be achieved through hard work and diligence".
"Claire joined RMB in 2015 while she was completing her legal studies and is now a solicitor in the firm's Compensation Division, focusing primarily on workers compensation matters.
"Claire is also elected as the Wollongong District Law Society's Young Lawyers representative.
"Adding to Claire's accolades for the advancement of women in law, she was recently instrumental in developing an internal system at RMB Lawyers for the efficient and effective running of workers compensation files that promoted flexible work practices.
"The system enables the firm's Compensation Division to work seamlessly throughout its 11 offices and remote locations. It is a huge benefit for female lawyers who need to work from home".
"With an enduring focus on enhancing the legal offering in regional Australia, RMB Lawyers recognise the importance of building the careers of talented young lawyers. Developing young lawyers is among the Firm's top priorities".
The Women Lawyers Achievement Awards will be announced at Dockside Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, Sydney on August 23.
