The Rats moved into first place on the ladder with the victory, their first in five attempts against the Lakers this season.
Oak Flats captain Scott McAndrew said the win provides the team with crucial momentum heading into the finals.
"It's good to finally get one over them," McAndrew said. "We didn't want to be potentially versing them knowing they beat us all five times.
"The way we came out and bowled before lunch was unreal. A few loose shots helped us, but the bowlers those first two sessions were right on the money."
After reaching 265 last weekend, the Rats struck early and struck often on Saturday's second day of play, reducing their opponents to 8-86 before ultimately bowling the Lakers out for 202.
McAndrew was most pleased by the way his bowlers played as a unit, with the Lake Illawarra batsmen placed under constant pressure during their time at the crease.
"We've been doing it all year, an even spread of bowlers. It's really important we're not just relying on a couple of blokes but everyone's contributing."
Saturday's other matches saw both Shellharbour and Kookas claim outright victories to secure their spots in the finals.
Beau Chamberlain claimed five wickets to lead Shellharbour to victory over Kiama/Gerringong, while Kookas beat The Rail by an innings and 78 runs.
