The Fraternity Club might be known as the ‘home of football’ but it was a former Australian rugby league international who was responsible for the club’s latest renovation. Former State of Origin enforcer Beau Scott was the main player behind the Fairy Meadow club’s new whiz-bang kids games room. Scott, who played 244 games for St George Illawarra, Cronulla Sharks, Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels, is part owner and operator of Club Games Australia. He recently spent time at The Frat, side-stepping eager youngsters and using his creative talent to renovate the kids room with new decor, games and electronic machines. “I’ve always loved games, both indoors and outdoors,” Scott said. “My team spent about six months at The Frat fitting out a room with air-conditioning, electrical, painting, and installing games for the younger age group.” He installed games including the popular dual-racing Daytona, Jurassic Park, basketball shooting, stacker, pinball, and a colourful carousal and chocolate machine. It was during his distinguished rugby league career that Scott was introduced to installing electronic games into clubs throughout NSW. His first machine was a chocolate machine, placed in a Helensburgh club in 2009. The kids games room is the latest renovation at The Frat.
