Real Estate Institute of NSW president Leanne Pilkington said the Residential Tenancies Amendment (Review) Bill 2018 has passed, and REINSW will now seek to educate the property management community.
The legislative changes include limiting rent increases to once per 12-month period, and providing clarity regarding minor alterations to properties.
“It is important for our profession to understand all of the changes that the new bill includes,” Ms Pilkington said.
Therefore, they will be conducting training sessions in 17 locations across NSW.
This tour, primarily to educate industry professionals, will include Wollongong on October 31 from 2pm to 4pm at the City Beach Function Centre.

The bill will now be sent to the Governor of NSW for his assent.
A date for the reforms to be implemented is yet to be disclosed.
