The venue of the October 17 event also houses the Illawarra Legal Centre (ILC) and the Warrawong Residents Forum (WRF).
The two organisations are participating in Anti-Poverty Week (October 14-20), a national campaign to highlight the hardship faced by more than a million Australians.
WRF manager Maxyne Graham said both services assist thousands of Illawarra residents annually who experience social and financial hardship.
“We are committed to reducing poverty in the Illawarra through the provision of a range of services,” she said.
WRF also provides a free community lunch three days a week, which no longer has government funding.
Their combined event on Wednesday runs 11am to 1pm and includes entertainment and a free BBQ lunch.
A variety of service providers will also be on hand to provide information.
