It brings together the best athletes across the Combined state high school, the Combined Catholic Colleges and the Independent school system in a forum which allows capable athletes to compete against the state’s best. Athletics Wollongong had a large number of juniors representing their high schools over the 4 days of this carnival. Our junior members range from Helensburgh down to Nowra and are a squad our club is particularly proud of.

Chelsea Ezeoke G13 6th 100m 13.55, 4th 200m 24.86, shot put 4th 11.43m and 400m 57.54. Emma Walsh G12 100m final 6th 13.14 sec, long jump 4th 4.77m.
Cailee Melfi G12 9th final 200m 28.74 sec, high jump 5th 1.45m, long jump 4.31m
Our two para stars Karlee Symonds G16 from Nowra Tech came first in the 200m, first in the 100m and Rosemary Boyland G17, Warilla High first in shot put, first in discus. Hannah Crinnion G16 4th 400m final 59.54, long jump 9th 4.68m.
Rosie Tozer G16 1.80m first in high jump and 4th in triple jump with 11.28m.

- OPENING DAY
Our first day of competition was met with a very dismal response from the weather, but a good number of hardy souls took to the track.

- FAREWELL LAURIE
One of our clubs longest serving members, Laurie Allison, will be leaving after 20 years of dedicated service to our club and heading to Queensland. We deeply wish him all the best in the new direction life has taken him.
