Onlookers could have been excused for thinking they were seeing a Royal Wedding on Saturday when a white carriage transported two newlyweds from Warrawong to Wollongong.

Those who saw Valter and Aneta Frietas Sa waving to all as they arrived at Flagstaff Hill and Lagoon Restaurant likened it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. And wondered whether their Royal visit to Australia had started early.
The bride’s mother Vela Todorovski said it was the realisation of a childhood dream for her daughter.
At the end of the night before heading off on her Fijian honeymoon she told her mum “everything has gone beautifully”.

Mrs Todorovski said she wanted it to be a very special day for her daughter. And it was.
“It was a special wedding because she is my princess and she said she would always like a princess wedding. One full of peace, love, happiness and joy, a new life and a new beginning,” she said.
Mrs Todorovski said it was a case of a childhood dream really coming true.
“When she was little she was always dressing like a princess and a fairy. She always said she wanted something different, something special. It all went perfectly. I am so happy for them”.
Mrs Todorovski said it didn’t matter how long it took to plan or cost for her little girl’s dream to come true. She just wanted her to be happy and start her married life full of joy.
They had been planning the day for a year when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding was televised and the bride to be did not miss a moment of that other real-life fairytale story.
Wedding planner Gordana Georgievska, of Superior Events Management, described it as a “beautiful magical wedding”.
After the ceremony at St Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church in Warrawong the couple released two white doves to symbolise the start of their life together as husband and wife. They then climbed aboard a white carriage bound for Flagstaff Hill for photos and the reception at Lagoon Restaurant.
For Wares Silvery Horse & Carriage it was they first time they have been asked to provide a carriage for an Illawarra wedding in many years.
The reception included indoor fireworks as they arrived and confetti as the cake was cut. There were also Brazilian dancers.
