Close to 500 students enjoyed all the fun of the school's inaugural School Fun-Run held on August 10 to coincide with Education Week.
Assistant principal Miki Calaizis added the event was also held to raise funds to upgrade school technologies.
“We also want to start implementing some new visible learning strategies and tools to help with visible learning,” he said.
“The colour run is a fun way to raise money and also celebrate Education Week.
“It’s great that the whole school has taken part, including our special needs and autistic unit students.”
Mr Calaizis added the School Fun-Run and open day also allowed the school to strengthen its relationships with parents and the community.
“Because education is changing so rapidly at the moment, we want our parents to be on board with the changes that are happening.
“By coming into our school and seeing what we are doing, they can get a better understanding of what we are trying to do,” he said.
