We are inviting boys and girls 11 to 14 years of age who enjoy or want to try basketball.
Local primary schools are being visited during this current week to further promote support and participation.
Twilight Tournaments are fun, free, fully supervised, social basketball for all young people.
Based at the spiritual home of the Illawarra Hawks, at the last tournament Hawks players popped in when they were at home.
They spent time with the young people playing, encouraging and talking to them about the sport, diet, the importance of being fit and having fun.
Parents are welcome to bring their child/children, come on in or drop off and pick up. Any further interest and support is also encouraged.
The last tournament was a real success with parents and their children attending.
The young people are divided into two teams each night, where they are briefed about the tournament and the program for each night.
They are provided with a meal with fruit, water and drinks being served during the three hours they attend.

The Rotary Club of Wollongong applied for a Rotary District Grant to help fund the tournaments.
This grant funds 50 per cent of the total cost.
The club through its fund-raising activities, mainly the Bunnings Wollongong BBQ’s the second Friday of each month, is able to provide the other 50 per cent to make these tournaments possible.
