We are now at the half-way mark in Athletics Wollongong's winter Parkrun point score, the positions could hardly be closer.

Taking an average of all runs completed to date, leading on 69.81 per cent is Ros Perry, very closely followed by Saxby Morley on 69.65 per cent with Theresa Moxham in third place at 68.90 per cent.

Results can all change quickly, as only each athlete's best six results count.

The point score finishes on 31st August, so there is still time for members who may have been resting after the track and field season to have shot at winning the inaugural AW Parkrun Championship.

Last weekend saw the bringing together of hundreds of cross-country aficionados at the Kembla Joggers cross-country course at Dapto.

The event combined the regular round of the Waratah series with the NSW Little Athletics State Cross-country.

Wollongong City Little A's club did well with Hanna Barnes G8 3rd, Sebastian Benefiel B7 3rd, Joshua Benefiel B11 3rd, Zoe McClatchie G11 6th. Albion Park's Charlize Colwell was first in the g11 Para 1500m and Kembla Joggers Juniors Jack McClatchie B13 3rd, Tayissa Buchanan G13 4th and Maeve Bradbury G13 5th did well with top 5 results.
