Each month OpenTable analyses more than 400,000 new diner reviews and sorts the results by category to help diners discover the new favourites in the state.
The Hungry Monkey received 40 reviews during the last month and scored a 96 per cent recommendation rating.
In 2017 the Kiama business run by Jack Alexander and Taylor Hudson was named Illawarra and South Coast Business of the Year.
Illawarra cafes and restaurants have fared well in Open Table’s top 10 list in 2018.
In January Wollongong restaurant Kneading Ruby ranked high in the monthly people’s choice awards.
And in April Kneading Ruby and Rookie Eatery both made the list showing the Illawarra consistently has some of the top ranking eateries in the NSW.
