Better Business Accounting of Woonona has been named winner of the Fed Cup Community Tennis Challenge played on the Wollongong Tennis Club courts at Beaton Park on Friday.

Organiser Maree Kerr said by winning Better Business Accounting now has the opportunity to play in the Corporate Challenge at the Sydney International in January. “They they have also won corporate tickets to the quarter finals at the same event”. Mrs Kerr said Friday’s Fed Cup Community Tennis Challenge raised more than $800 for the Cancer Council. “It was a gathering of corporate and community members who came together to celebrate Wollongong having the Fed Cup tie, enjoy the company of all participants and to raise funds for the Cancer Council.”
Peoplecare, Novotel, Destination Wollongong, Illawarra Mercury, Healthy Cities Illawarra, Cancer Council, Complete Tennis, Tennis Wollongong, Daley & Co and Gallagher Insurance Brokers were among organisations to field a team.
Mrs Kerr said it is not like to be the last such event after an afternoon of sunshine, laughter, friendly bantering and positive feedback.
