Gregson will be speaking as Peoplecare’s head office. The Illawarra-based, national not-for-profit health fund was his official healthcare partner for the Gold Coast games. He said as an athlete in a sport at the elite level it required high levels of dedication, commitment and motivation to succeed.
Gregson will share his insights and experiences and discuss the importance of being healthy and its effect on the human body both physically and mentally.
Peoplecare chief executive Michael Bassingthwaighte said the health fund was passionate about promoting healthy living to members and staff. “We’re incredibly proud to be hosting this talk with Ryan for our employees as a tangible example of our care for their physical and mental wellbeing”.
As his healthcare partner Peoplecare provided Gregson with access to a range of health services required for him to perform at the Commonwealth Games level. In addition to his regular training sessions, he attended two massage sessions and one physiotherapy session per week for several months in the lead up to the Games.
“Peoplecare was a great support for me as I prepared for the Commonwealth Games,” he said.
“It is an honour to be able to share my personal experiences in motivation, self-belief and goal setting that can transition into the corporate world and help the Peoplecare team strive for the personal and professional goals.”
Gregson is the national record holder for the Men’s 1500m and made it into the finals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
