Volunteers are being sought for the Wollongong Eisteddfod

The Wollongong Eisteddfod is looking for volunteers for the six week event starting in early June.

Publicity co-ordinator Lynne Sim said it takes many volunteers to run such a huge annual event.

The general sections of vocals, speech, drama, piano, wind and string instruments run from June 2 to July 5 at Wesley Church, Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, Wollongong Town Hall and IPAC. The dance sections run from July 7 to 14 at IPAC.

“We have competition in both theatres, running morning, afternoon and evening sessions and desperately need lots of volunteers to help in numerous areas such as ticket sellers, door keepers, stage assistants, time keepers, sound technicians and stage announcers,” Mrs Sim said.
