So said The Energy Experts founder Carolyn Lee, who added ongoing public concern about rising electricity prices means 2018 is expected to be an even bigger year for solar.
“With no end in sight to power price increases, households are taking matters into their own hands by investing in rooftop solar and battery storage systems,” Ms Lee said.
According to the Australian Photovoltaic Institute, solar installations grew by 50 per cent, and battery installations by almost 60 per cent in 2017 compared to the year before.
The Illawarra-based The Energy Experts will hold free ‘The Latest in Solar & Battery Storage’ one-hour sessions at The Shellharbour Club on February 22 (11am and 6.30pm) and The Pavilion Kiama on March 13 (11am and 6.30pm).
Ms Lee said homeowners will learn how they can reduce their bills by up to 70 per cent with solar, and by up to 100 per cent using solar and batteries.
She added a range of experts will also be on-hand to answer questions and provide tailored advice to people based on their situations.
