At just 24, popular local singer-songwriter Elizabeth Rae has already been a professional musician for nearly 12 years.
Performing her first paid gig at the age of 13, Elizabeth went on to record three original albums and an EP before she turned 20.
Her career highlights include supporting the Sydney Chamber Orchestra in concert, performing live in San Diego, California, and television appearances on Channel 9.
But it’s with her new full album, ‘Flowers’, that Elizabeth feels she’s really found her voice as a songwriter, and she can’t wait to launch it, with her band, on Sunday March 4, 2018, at the Nowra Golf Club from 6.45pm.
Known for her strikingly pure, ethereal voice, Elizabeth’s poetic lyrics, interwoven with deeply moving melodies, create unforgettable performances that will leave you captivated.
“This new album really shows who I am as an artist, and where I’m going,” she says.
“I took a break, got married, moved to the Shoalhaven and had my daughter.
“These days I write much more from my own experiences, from the heart, and I’m ready for people to hear that.”
‘Flowers’ is a bright, colourful, joyful indie pop album, full of beautiful melodies and the soaring, ethereal vocals for which Elizabeth has become known.
The catchy first single Golden Hour is available on iTunes or see the evocative video, shot on the south coast, on You Tube.
“Songwriting has always been the way that I process life and explore stories,” says Elizabeth.
“My own stories, things that have happened in my life, observations of the world and what’s going on around me.”
