The talented natural footer outgunned South African rising star Adin Masencamp in the final of the Qualifying Series (QS) 1000 event.
Squiers amassed a two-wave score of 17.40 in three-to-four foot surf, beating Masencamp’s 16.00.
It provided Squiers with his first QS series victory since the Carve Pro Maroubra in 2016.

Squiers and his fellow competitors had to battle small conditions through the early rounds of the competition before things picked up on the final day.
