Rotary and PCYC Wollongong are partnering to resume the very popular program – Twilight Tournaments. This year, it is targeting Year 5 and 6 students and their parents to play competitively over six weeks supported by the Illawarra Hawks players. Students in Years 7-10 are encouraged to support and mentor the younger participants.
Hawks players support these youngsters by playing with them. They share their experiences as professional sportsmen and how they focus on their health, fitness and diet.
Last Saturday night a very committed group of youngsters took part, led by Senior Constable Cate Johnston, Youth Case Manager, and supported by martial arts PCYC trainer, Rob Hill, the parents and Hawks Development Players Matt Hancock and Marshall Nelson.
It was an action-filled evening for the youngsters and Hawks players. Rotarians assisted by serving a meal. A personal development segment on personal safety was presented by Snr Const Johnston.

PCYC Cheeky Monkeys kindergym, is a fun and colourfully themed gymnastics program for 18 months to five-year-olds.
FUNStar KIDS is a preschool sports program for 2.5 to five-year-olds. The kids learn to dodge, catch, throw, kick, pass and bounce. They get to experience a range of sports and develop skills in a fun team environment.
The Wollongong club is simply the best place to learn boxing in the Illawarra. There is focus on fitness, skill, respect, courage and resilience. PCYC Boxing for Fitness is a great alternative for those who want to get all the fitness benefits of boxing without the contact.
Brazilian Jujitsu is widely recognised as the world’s best martial art for self-defence. PCYC has a Junior Jitz program for 7 to 12-year-olds as well as all age open classes.
Australian Championship winning PCYC coach Rob Hill is highly recognised for his prowess across all fighting styles and for his positive teaching methods.
The low-cost tutoring program for school students is back as is Archery, Kendo, Street Soccer and Weights training. There is just so much to do at the PCYC Wollongong.
