A Bomaderry man who screamed and hurled himself into the glass partition at Nowra Local Court, on Wednesday, January 17 has had his case adjourned until he can be more composed.

Magistrate Gabriel Fleming was shocked by Jason William Kemp’s actions when he appeared on charges of shoplifting, entering a dwelling and resisting police, while on parole, and refused to address his case until he was in a better state.
As Kemp entered the dock he looked into the court’s gallery and observed a friend.
“My f—king lad,” Kemp said to a heavily tattooed male in the room.
“How are you today Mr Kemp?” Magistrate Fleming said.
“How am I? What do you think? I’m not good,” Kemp replied.
While Magistrate Fleming reviewed papers, Kemp screamed loudly and threw himself towards the glass panel used to divide people in custody from the courtroom.
Magistrate Fleming asked the court psychologist if he was under the influence of a substance, or if he needed to go to the hospital for a psychiatric review.
“This is a quite normal presentation for him,” she said.
“[This is ] how he has been in the cells for the last few days.”
Magistrate Fleming asked for the sheriff to remove Kemp from the courtroom and adjourned his case until Monday, January 29.
