The program for the day was dancing for the community members followed by morning tea for everybody, provided by Rotary, and finally basketball for the community members.
The morning was well attended and everyone had a great time. The Rotarians also had the opportunity to watch the community members during their dance and basketball sessions.
Social Inclusion Week aims to help all Australians feel included and valued, giving everyone the opportunity to participate fully in society.
Social Inclusion Week is an initiative of Dr Jonathon Welch, of School of Hard Knocks fame, and its aim is all about connecting local communities, workers, family and friends, in order to build and strengthen relationships or networks, and address isolation and exclusion for those who may be marginalised.
