Albion Park’s Blake Govers put the Blues ahead in the second minute before he added the second from a penalty corner. Isaac Farmilo scored the third, leading NSW 3-0 into the break.
Joel Rintala reduced the deficit in the 37th minute before Nathan Stewart increased NSW’s lead to 4-1. QLD scored twice more but the Blues had already kept a hold on the game.
" It was a tough game in the second half when we lost one player but my boys played their best and achieved the win, " Livermore said post match.
Earlier, the NSW women won their national Under 21 title beating WA 2-1. Gerringong's Grace Stewart was the star of the game scoring the opening goal in the 6th minute from a penalty corner and then the winner after WA had levelled 1-1.
Railway Greys duo Riley and Maddison Smith also played.
