And the couple, aged 96 and 91 respectively, loved their first ever skydiving experience so much that they plan to do it all again next year.
Cecil and Stella were inspired to take the plunge after hearing a 98-year-old went skydiving.
But their family weren’t on board with their plans so the couple from Tullimbar took it on themselves to go skydiving on January 18 without them knowing.
The couple were all smiles and giggles after landing back in Stuart Park, ready to go again.
A laughing Cecil said afterwards: “She’s got to do the ironing and I’ll have to water the pots! No, we have to go put this (their skydive videos) on the net.”
Cecil even joked about how to beat this wedding anniversary, saying “next time I’m going solo”.
Stella on the other hand wants to learn how to fly a plane.
Last year, the adventure-seekers went hand-gliding at Stanwell Park for Stella’s 90th birthday.
While their cheeky humor shone through, the strong love and bond between Cecil and Stella was also clear to see.
It was love at first sight for the couple who met in their Navy days during World War II, just six days before D-Day.
Cecil and Stella have been together ever since.
