Sterjovski converted in the 105th minute after the two sides finished level at 1-all following normal time.
Zac Nicolas had opened the scoring for United in the fifth minute before Jeremy Flanagan scored in the shadows of half time.
Meanwhile, Tarrawanna won the under-18s grand final with a convincing 3-0 over Bulli.
In District League, Warilla scored in the final minute to outlast Helensburgh in a 1-0 win.
In Saturday’s lower grades of the District League, Thirroul beat Fernhill 2-1 in reserve grade at Wetherall Park. In youth grade, University came from 3-1 down to snatch a dramatic 4-3 victory over Coniston.
Alex Coetzer scored a hat-trick, including the winner with four minutes remaining in the match.
