Albion Park came back strongly in the second half to defeat Fairy Meadow 3-2 in Round 10 of the Illawarra men's hockey league on Sunday.

It was a disappointing day for the Falcons who took a 2-1 lead at the break looking to cause a major upset.
Jamie Barrett put the Falcons ahead early in the first half only for Scott Govers to equalise for the Park before NSW Under 18 player Daine Richards put Meadow ahead at the break. The Park regrouped in the second half with Josh Mayo converting a penalty corner to level at 2-2 before Brady Anderson scored to make it 3-2.
In the second game, premiers University beat Wests Illawarra 4-2 with double goals from Heath Ogilvie and Alex Mackay and Elliott Ashby and Tom Dolby replying for Wests.
In the women's league, Albion Park downed rivals Wests Illawarra 2-1 with Cherie Marsh and Emma McLeish scoring for the Park, Gerringong beat Jamberoo 2-0, Fairy Meadow beat Dapto 1-0, Avondale beat University 3-1 and Robertson beat Railway Greys 3-1.
