Illawarra's Kookaburra Flynn Ogilvie is out of the national squad for the next six months. Flynn returned from the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia last weekend with a hamstring injury which needed surgery and is back in Perth.

This was a disappointing setback for Ogilvie after the Kookaburras lost the final of the Shah Cup to Great Britain 4-3.
"I came straight back to Perth with the team so I could get a scan on my hamstring which tore off and will need surgery to reattach it," Ogilvie said on his return.
“It looks like I will be out for at least six months and maybe longer, just depends how well it recovers."
Former Kookaburra Kieran Govers returned to his club Albion Park in the Illawarra hockey league to score a goal in the 3-0 win over Wests Illawarra last weekend. In the second game league leaders University drew 2–2 with Robertson.
In the women's league, leaders Albion Park beat Dapto 4-1, University beat FigDerra 7-1, Wests beat Gerringong 5-0 and Railway Greys drew with Fairy Meadow 1-1. – Tony De Souza
