The Wollongong and District Avicultural Society will be hosting their annual show.
The Wollongong bird exhibitors recently completed their first show of the season at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. The show was a success for club president John ‘Whiskey’ Walker and fellow member Peter McGibbon.
Mr McGibbon took out Reserve Grand Champion Finch, while Mr Walker won the prestigious Grand Champion Canary.
The duo have a chance to continue their success when they take on the challengers at the Wollongong and District Avicultural Society’s 68th annual show at the Bulli PCYC on Saturday, April 29.
”Many of the country shows are no longer around but the Wollongong show and club continues to grow and is well supported,” Mr Walker said. “The Wollongong show is one of the biggest on the show circuit with exhibitors coming from all round the state.”
