And it is two of the club’s brightest prospects in Chelsea Ezeoke and Delta Amidzovski who have led the way on the track.
Chelsea actually broke a 39-year-old record at the recent State Championships.
The 10-year-old set a new mark in winning the under-11s 200m, stopping the clock at 26.12, well inside the old time of 26.44 set in the late 1970s.
She also set a new PB of 13.00sec flat in winning gold in the 100m sprint, plus won gold in the shot put with a throw of 12.69m.
Chelsea showed her all-round versatility by claiming a silver medal in the long jump with a leap of 4.50m.
Earlier this year, Chelsea competed against New Zealand in the Trans Tasman Challenge and was the only athlete to win four individual gold medals (100m, 200m, long jump, shot put) plus gold in the relay to collect the Garth Robinson Family Shield.
Albion Park team-mate Delta has been just as successful in recent times.
The 10-year-old was especially impressive at the NSW State Little Athletics Championships event at Sydney Olympic Park from March 17-19.
Delta won two gold medals, winning the 60m hurdles and long jump events. This was the third year straight she won the 60m hurdles race and second year on the trot claiming a Long Jump gold medal at the same State Championships.
The talented all-rounder’s impressive meet also included a fifth-place finish in the 400m race and eighth in High Jump.
Becky Amidzovski said her daughter was very fortunate to have great coaches by her side.
She said Rick Watkins (long jump and sprinting), Don Hodgekiss (hurdles) and Ron Thompson (high jump) had played a big part in Delta’s success.
“This year is shaping up to be another great year for Delta. She is looking forward to training hard under the watchful eye of her coaches,’’ Mrs Amidzovski said.
Albion Park Little Athletics Club para athlete Charlize Colwell also enjoyed State Championship success, winning the 800m para event and smashing her PB by 30 seconds in the process.
Charlize added another two gold in the 100m and long jump, as well as a silver in the discuss in the under 9-10 para events.
“We want to congratulate all our athletes and their parents for all their efforts in recent times,’’ a club spokesman said.
