The day belonged to wily former Australian player Peter Huk who scored two goals and had assists in the other goals.
Bathurst made brave attempts to penetrate the Illawarra defence after levelling 1-1 in the opening 10 minutes of the game after Tom Persson gave Illawarra the lead.
After this Illawarra took control of the game and went to a 4-1 lead at the break with goals from Graham Bodie, Greg Johnson and Peter Huk.
The second half was merely a practice match for the Red shirts with Over 60s player Denis Cranston showing his skills amongst the other younger age groups.
Peter Hammond and Huk scored the final goals in the second half for a final score of 6-1.
The Illawarra B team lost out in the semis to Newcastle.
