Earlier this month Lifestart was awarded the Minister’s Award for Excellence at the 2017 NSW Disability Industry Awards.
Lifestart received this award because they ‘’had shown excellent initiative with several outstanding projects and as a whole organisation in its continued commitment to improving outcomes for people with disability’’.
Lifestart CEO Suzanne Becker said she was thrilled Lifestart had been recognised.
“All the Lifestart staff - support workers, therapists, educators and office staff, are so committed to the people with disability and families and carers they support every day,” Ms Becker said.
“They strive to support children and young people to live an ordinary life in the spirit of social inclusion and it is truly a great testament to them that we have been honoured with this significant award.
“With the National Disability Insurance Scheme beginning to roll out, we are looking forward to providing even greater support to more children and young people with disability in the future.’’
Lifestart also received the Excellence in Regional Innovation Award for the innovative Online Therapy program supporting children and young people with disability.
