Be inspired, refreshed and reinvigorated! is the theme of the 2017 Illawarra Forum Conference at Kiama Pavilion on March 14-15.
Global futurist Dr Keith Souter will present the opening keynote “Owning Our Future; Exploring the future of community services in the geopolitical context’’.
The leading economic and social commentator, strategic planner, author and broadcaster will also join Cassandra Goldie (Australian Council of Social Services), Chris Lamont (Illawarra Business Chamber) and Narelle Clay (Southern Youth and Family Services) in a facilitated conversation - “A flourishing economy cannot be built on top of a social graveyard’’.
KPMG health and human services director Ruth Lawrence PhD will deliver “Taking advantage of Social Benefit Bonds and Impact Investing” talk.
Breakout sessions will also be presented by quality speakers including AbilityMate co-founder Melissa Fuller, Michelle Crawford and Australian Services Union NSW & ACT branch secretary Natalie Lang.
The Australia Institute chief economist, Dr Richard Denniss will deliver the closing keynote address.
