The Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning production, Doubt, A Parable runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until March 4.

Peter Scrine, who is at the helm of the WWT production, said Doubt asks the questions: where do you draw the line between belief and suspicion? And when does the battle for truth turn into a witch hunt?

The director added he enjoyed exploring stories that encourage audiences to think and get conversations started.

In this ‘’brilliant and powerful drama’’, a Catholic school principal in the Bronx in the early 1960’s suspects a parish priest of improper relations with a male student.

Sister Aloysius enlists the help of a young teacher but uncertainties abound and loyalties are strained as she relentlessly pursues the truth, in the absence of any clear evidence.

Scrine has brought together a mix of new and seasoned performers to the Wollongong Workshop Theatre stage.
