IAS Southern Phone Hockey Athlete Blake Govers is currently away at a super camp with the Australian under-21 Burras team in Perth. This camp is a lead-up to the Junior World Cup, which will be held in India at the end of the year.

IAS HOCKEY DUO TO REPRESENT NSW
IAS Southern Phone Hockey Athletes Mitchell Galea and Callum MacKay have recently been selected to represent NSW in the under-16s All Schools team and under-15s team respectively. Galea will be competing at the National Schoolboy Championships in Hobart in August while MacKay will travel to Darwin in late September to compete in the national under-15 championships.

HOWARD UPS ANTE FOR RIO
IAS Individual Athlete Mecenzi Howard is into week 11 of her 22-week elite training program, working towards the Asia Oceania Championships taking place at Sydney Olympic Park in October. Howard trains up to 14 hours per week across six days, including an intensive core stability program administered by IAS Physiotherapy partner, BaiMed Sports Physiotherapy. Howard also travels to Sydney once a fortnight to receive one-on-one training sessions with Paralympics coaching staff in the lead-up to several National Squad training camps at Sydney Olympic Park throughout August and September.

JAYDEN SWIMS TO SUCCESS
IAS BlueScope WIN Individual Athlete Jayden Hutchinson recently competed in the 2013 NSW All Schools Swimming Championships at SOPAC. Hutchinson produced several outstanding results, including receiving a silver medal in the boys' 15-16 400-metre LC freestyle and a bronze medal in the boys' 15-16 200-metre LC butterfly. He also competed in the 2013 NSW State Open Short Course Championships at SOPAC from July 19-20 and received a silver medal in the men's 14-15 years' 400-metre freestyle. These results are the ideal preparation for the Speedo NSW State Age Short Course Championships at SOPAC from August 2-4.
